What is obesity
There was a time when people used to do manual work, but nowadays we are living a sedentary lifestyle. Most of the days we spent sitting in front of a computer. So as days have gone by people unknowingly tending to become obese. Obesity is a medical condition that occurs when a person carries excess weight or body fat that might affect their health. A doctor will usually suggest that a person has obesity if they have a high body mass index. A BMI between 25 and 29.9 indicates that a person is carrying excess weight. A BMI of 30 or over suggests that a person may have obesity. Obesity is known to be the main risk factor for non-communicable diseases like cardiovascular disease, type two diabetes, hypertension or a certain type of cancers. Over the last century, obesity has emerged as a leading global health concern through recent environmental and societal changes, favoring a positive energy balance and weight gain.
according to WHO Worldwide obesity has nearly tripled since 1975 and in 2016, more than 1.9 billion adults, 18 years and older, were overweight. Of these over 650 million were obese.
According to a study obesity and overweight account for 44% of the diabetes cases. In another study, it has been shown that a total of 4429 participants developed diabetes during a mean follow up of 5.5 years. Compared with those with a BMI of less than 25, the multivariate hazard ratios for diabetes with a BMI of 30 or greater were 1.40.
What is Type two Diabetes
In type 2 diabetes, our body either resists the effects of insulin — a hormone that regulates the movement of sugar into our cells — or doesn’t produce enough insulin to maintain normal glucose levels. People who are overweight or obese develop higher chances to get diagnosed with type two diabetes

Obesity is one of the greatest risk factors for type two diabetes. In Type two diabetes your body is not able to produce enough insulin and insulin is a hormone that keeps blood sugar level normal, it doesn’t let the sugar level go high or low. Obesity can cause type two diabetes. Now if we look into the studies, we will find plenty of information on the relationship between obesity and diabetes. According to a study, the majority of individuals with diabetes are obese or overweight. Type two diabetes confined with adults for most of the 20th century, Now obese children are getting diabetes even before puberty. Childhood obesity is relatively recent and it poses a great threat to health. In the USA it has been noted that up to 45% of children with newly diagnosed diabetes have type 2 diabetes and most are overweight or obese at diagnosis. BMI is used to find if a person has obesity. You can check your BMI to see if you’re maintaining sound health(you can just google BMI calculator). If not don’t worry we will get out of it together. Now let’s put our focus on how we can fight against obesity.

The best way to fight against obesity is by going to a gym. Strength training can be a good way to keep you wrapped up in improving yourself. during the first months in the gym, you can use fat burning supplements which will give you a great push and keep you motivated. Then there comes the second option, which is the medication. Just remember if you decide to use any medication or pills you better consult your doctor and gain proper knowledge about them.
The first and foremost thing that we need to keep in mind is that the treatment of obesity is always intimately linked to the reduction of body weight. Now there are plenty of ways to reduce your weight but nothing is as good compared to exercise. Regular Exercise can give you a good result. it will not let you get diagnosed with diabetes and help you to fight against many cardiovascular diseases. You will have to understand the importance of exercise or else you won’t be motivated enough to go to the gym the next day. But if you’re already diagnosed with type two diabetes it’s alright just talk to your doctor before going to the gym and follow the advice He/she gives.
Though aerobic exercise is best for increasing insulin sensitivity, he/she can also add resistance training to their routine. If we compare aerobic and resistance exercise, aerobic exercise does have some limitations. aerobic exercise sometimes can be monotonous. People who are suffering from severe obesity will find it very difficult to do intensive aerobic exercise. On the other hand Resistance training increases muscle mass and endurance, which often causes more rapid changes in functional status and body composition and might, therefore be more immediately rewarding.
A healthy diet plan
There is this saying, ” You are what you eat”. If you want to control your body, your health in the right direction then you have to eat the right food. Unhealthy eating habits have contributed to the obesity epidemic in the United States. As we have mentioned earlier children are getting diagnosed with diabetes and unhealthy eating is one of that reason. Adding too much sugar and oily food makes you overweight and in no time obese. So we have to have a diet plan. Calories matter for weight-and some foods make it easier for us to keep our calories in check. It’s not only what we eat but also how we eat. Firstly we have to keep in mind that processed whole food has to be avoided as much as possible. we can have Whole grains, plenty of vegetables (NOT POTATO), whole fruits (not juices), nuts, seeds, beans, and plant oils, etc. You can find plenty of good diet on google but you have to be honest and dedicated to yourself. Get yourself motivated and start living a healthy life

Physical activity and exercise can have immediate and long-term health benefits. Most importantly, regular activity can improve your quality of life. A minimum of 30 minutes a day can allow you to enjoy these benefits.
